Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also referred to as Ashanti was born on 13 October of 1980, in Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter as well as an actress. The talent of Ashanti was discovered in her teens. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. That same year, she was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv?
