DMX began to rap from the mid 1990s. In May 1998 he recorded his debut album called It's Dark and HELL IS HOT. He released several albums, such as... And Then There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album, titled ... and Then There Was X was also nominated to win a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category in 2001. In addition to his musical projects, he also appeared in movies like Lords of the Street Belly Top Five Exit Wounds That Will Never Be Alone, The Bleeding Romeo Must Die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
